A round table meeting with pediatric cardiac surgeons from Mexico took place on February 4, 2023 in the Mercure Hotel Berlin Mitte.

Prof. Boulos Asfour from Bonn, Prof. Michael Hübler from Hamburg and Prof. Tsvetomir Loukanov from Heidelberg gave presentations on their experiences with the Matrix Patch equine as well as on general current topics in pediatric cardiac surgery.

Prof. Quenot Alexis Javier Palacios Macedo and Prof. Antonio Benita Bordes (both from Mexico City) reported on the current state of pediatric cardiac surgery in Mexico, particularly the unique aspects of performing surgery at high altitude.

On Monday and Tuesday, the Mexican surgeons visited the hospitals of their German colleagues.
