At the 105th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) in 2025, held in Seattle, WA, Dr. Osman Al Radi of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, presented a reproducible, valve-sparing alternative to the traditional transannular patch technique for Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) patients with non-preservable pulmonary valves. Utilising the Matrix Patch equine, he engineered a customised bicuspid valve. Preliminary outcomes demonstrated results comparable to conventional repairs, with promising indications of potential long-term benefits.
